Lone Wolf Reider Lowell whose father was the Alpha of the Great Basin Pack until 6 months ago when he gave the amulet necklace to Reider on his death bed to take his place as Alpha. Reider did not want the job. Always the cast off son of the Alpha, he doesn't feel as though it is his place to lead. He steps aside to allow his half brother Geoff rule the pack. Reider did however keep the necklace that his father gave him to him.
The amulet necklace is the symbol of the leader of each of the wolf packs. Given from Alpha to Alpha to lead the pack. The amulet holds power. Reider however sees it as finally being acknowledged and accepted by his father and he is not giving it up.
Reider receives a note from the Conclave telling him the pack is in trouble and to meet at The Hotel in Las Vegas. Who he does not expect to see however waiting on him is Sable Adudolf.
The female wolf that is his mate that he left 6 months earlier. Sable tells him that his brother is missing, that another Alpha of a local pack has also missing and she fears for the life of Geoff.
This of course is just the start of the events that take place.
Power hungry wolves wanting to control everyone, lies, murder, a to death challenge for control, and of course some hot amazing second chance sex.
